– Mind Core

One red ribbon

I am coming home
with a scarlet ribbon
On red velvet skies,
cut by a sharp crescent moon
Below stands a lonely figure,
bathed in blood.
His sins revealed,
his young victim safe
from further abuse.
I have moved from dark to light,
through many worlds
to save the lives my mind has touched.
To live a life in a coma
they say, cannot be
I am here to tell you,
awake now from too long a sleep
Annie’s life is peaceful
I hold her scarlet ribbon…

Dark and mysterious, Anita. That’s an intense poem to go with an intense image!
