Sparrow – Cee’s photo challenge

P1050521One of the most joyousl moments I remember, both for what we saw, how we felt and how they appeared to feel, was an encounter with a small colony of sparrows.

We had chosen the only vacant table in the pub garden and there was an ancient, mossy  wall right next to us… a wall that was a hive of activity as the little flock played, nestled, nested and enjoyed the nooks and crannies between the stones.

There was, it seemed, absolutely no fear… they were used to people sitting there and we were treated to the most wonderful hour, just enjoying their presence. They came and sat on the benches with us, unafraid and curious to see if we had anything to eat that they might share. This series of pictures always makes me smile.
