The Chinese New Year: The year of the Fire Horse…
(February 17, 2026 -February 5, 2027)
I don’t think I would get any argument as to whether last year was worth our time. So, news of a possible better year is most welcome!
Apparently, this will be a year that moves quickly and thinks even faster. Where opportunities emerge in unexpected ways, so will distractions. Success in 2026 depends less on cleverness alone and more on how well ideas are organised and carried through.
Sounds wonderful, but maybe not for me. I have been forced to slow down due to my failing health, so I might have missed the boat.
This year, they say, will bring heightened speed, competitiveness, and outward drive. This energetic climate naturally stimulates quick thinking and adaptability, encouraging exploration, experimentation, and fast decision-making.
Wouldn’t this be a wonderful year?
However, the same fast-moving energy also magnifies mental restlessness. Life may feel busy even when progress is unclear.
Those who learn to narrow priorities, manage time deliberately, and resist unnecessary distractions will find this year surprisingly productive. Visibility will improve compared to recent years, but results depend on consistency rather than constant change.
I want to be excited about the coming year, but sadly, I cannot. I have battled with failing strength for months, so last year was pretty horrible. I have a new problem, discovered when having my constant headache and earache checked out. Turns out that something is going on inside my head that is affecting my ability to think straight. So quick thinking may be a thing of the past, but I sincerely hope not.
Health in a Fire Horse Year…
Healthin 2026 will be closely linked to mental load and lifestyle balance. We might appear energetic while internally experiencing fatigue, tension, or disrupted sleep. Multitasking and irregular routines are common stress triggers.
Good grief, I must have started already!
Simple consistency will prove most effective: regular rest, structured daily rhythms, and moderate physical activity. Mind calming habits, such as breathing exercises, short digital breaks, ot reflective journaling, will help prevent burnout and support our emotional stability.
PS. I am working on a follow up post to having a newsletter on WordPress, it makes interesting readin, and boy has it been a fun time!
