One of those days…

I had big plans for today.

The day isn’t over yet, so my fingers are still crossed.

This happened, just when I was prodding my brain to get it moving, so all thoughts of my big plan went out the window to the gently falling snow. They said that most of the country would get some today, but I never thought we would see any.

I hoped it was a good sign!

Back to the plan…

Today I was supposed to be preparing the way to launch Anita’s new book, The Lost Lullaby, written under a pen name as it is a new genre. The launch date is December 10th, but I thought I would offer an ARC copy to garner a few reviews. I haven’t done this before, so I was very nervous.

Although my legs are getting stronger these days, my brain still struggles with recall, and there is still so much I cannot remember. I spend my days relearning practically everything.

This plan involved using Bookfunnel for the ARC copies, something I haven’t done for ages, so I hoped and prayed that my brain would remember the details. And you guessed right, it didn’t!

so, rather than waste a perfectly good launch post, I thought I would add the link today, to see if it actually works. If it doesn’t, I’ll go back to the drawing board with my tail between my legs!

Desperate to rekindle her love of writing, Maggie rents an old house in Cornwall. She expects dust and cobwebs, but not a silence that listens. From the moment she crosses the threshold, the rooms seem to lean closer, the walls brimming with a presence that knows her name before she can speak it aloud.

What begins as unease deepens into an obsession.

A cradle waits in the attic, carved with letters that seem to twist when she looks too long. A lullaby drifts through the dark, tender and terrible, coaxing her to surrender the last fragments of herself.

As the house closes in, Maggie is forced to fight not for escape alone, but for her very identity. To survive, she must hold on to the one thing the house cannot claim…

Atmospheric and relentless, The Lost Lullaby is a slow-burning ghost story about memory, hunger, and the fragile line between haunting and possession.

Just got my copy! I don’t mind writing a book review on my blog once I’m done, if that’s OK with you and Anita.

I’m intrigued, but I don’t want to commit to something I can’t complete and my time right now is strained to the max, with working two jobs AND still trying to be an author. This sounds like an intense story. Congratulations to Anita for stepping out of her poetic comfort zone!
