A Sunday Surprise… #Raindrops #Spiderweb

Look what I found this morning!

I was checking my bonsai, as the weather has been terrible lately, when one of them looked odd. On closer inspection, I found this enormous web, covered in fine raindrops.

You can’t really see the extent of this magical net, but I did the best I could!

I hope everyone is enjoying a peaceful Sunday, I intended to, but I might, weather permitting, do a little light gardening this afternoon…

Nobody seems to like spiders, but I appreciate the ones that live on my bonsai, for they keep the other nasties away, and leave surprises like that magical web!

Not everyone dislikes spiders. I quite like them. They are useful creatures, eating many nasty insects. And when their webs are covered in dew or raindrops, they are lovely things. Even some of the markings on the spiders themselves are beautiful.

However, I’m not so keen when they build their webs (😂 autocorrect just changed this to websites!) on my windows, or in corners of my house! Nor do I like the big house spiders that you find in the bath or running across the carpet at night. I don’t mind picking up most spiders, but those I draw the line at.

I was wondering about the difference between outdoor and indoor spiders. Why are they so different?
