It is What it is… #Falling to pieces #Depression

I have been among the missing this week, and hopefully I have turned a corner as I am feeling a little better today. My not so friendly arthritis was the problem. Slowly getting worse, I knew I was reaching crisis point. My old friend depression has been at the door for a while, but I have been reluctant to make an appointment with my doctor. Something about waiting three or four weeks tends to put me off.

When I turned up for my annual asthma check-up, I crumbled and mentioned how bad my pain was. The nurse listened to me, asked several questions and then put my name on the duty list, to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible. To cut a long story short, I saw my doctor the next day. She thinks I may have Fibromyalgia, and didn’t like the way my hips moved, so despatched me to the hospital for an x-ray. She also prescribed some evil sounding medication, which may help but make me drowsy. Oh boy, that would a change for being dog tired, wouldn’t it?

That was three days ago, and the pain has dropped a notch, Yay! Long may it continue…

I have been awake just long enough to work on the edit, but not much else. To be honest, the new meds seem to have affected what little memory I have left. I hope this isn’t the case, as I’m not ready to throw away my pens just yet.

The weather is getting better and will be much hotter next week.. Hopefully normal has come to stay for a while, so that’s good news, isn’t it?
