Falling into Forever… #Review #Romance #Fake Dating @Contemporary Romance (Books) @AveryMaxBooks

Fake dating my sunshiny ex may be the only way to save both of our careers—but I wasn’t expecting him to make things feel so real.

What’s a brokenhearted romance novelist to do when an interview accidentally gets her canceled?

I’ll tell you one thing—the plan definitely didn’t include turning to the man who taught me that happily ever afters exist only on the page. But when Dante Thompson shows up on my front porch with his gorgeous face, golden retriever energy, and an outrageous offer that could save my reputation and a career disaster of his own, am I actually considering saying yes?

It’s been six years. I’m older. I should be wiser. My too-charming public relations guru of an ex claims he’s got the perfect answer to both our predicaments: A splashy fake relationship that will give everyone something else to talk about.

He’s not wrong. Everyone loves a good love story…even if it’s just for show.

But I don’t trust myself to even pretend to let him in again. Especially considering how things ended the first time around. And the secrets I’m still keeping from him? They’re even darker than they were six years ago.

Once Dante learns the truth of what tore us apart, he’s more determined than ever to fix what never should have been left broken—our love story.

**Author note: Falling into Forever is a steamy, small-town, grumpy-sunshine romance where forced proximity turns Dante and Saylor’s second chance fake relationship into something all too real.

About the author

Avery Maxwell

Avery Maxwell

Avery Maxwell is an American contemporary romance novelist specializing in emotionally driven characters who bring love, chaos, heat, and a side of angst to every story she writes. She grew up in a tiny Vermont town with one flashing light and four stop signs. If you look closely enough, you can often find similarities between her small hometown and the stories she creates.

Avery now lives in North Carolina with her husband, four mini-humans, and two puppies. She fills her days with carpools and sporting events while using her nights to create stories that are impossible to put down.

When Avery isn’t on mom-duty or busy writing, you can find her at a concert or snuggling on the couch with a glass of wine and her very own Prince Charming.

My review

I haven’t had much luck in the romance department, so maybe that’s why I’m not an expert on the subject. Many romance stories are stereotypically predictable. However, Falling into Forever is unique. It’s painfully sad, with raw emotions on every page.

Successful second chances don’t happen very often, and with all the secrets and time passed, I wasn’t expecting a happy ending this time.

But… I won’t include any spoilers. I’ll just say, if you’re anything like Saylor or me, come to think of it, you need to read Falling into Forever and see what happens.

You won’t be sorry… I know I wasn’t.

“Love isn’t only about happy times. Love means you hold someone in the dark and scary times. It means you trudge through that darkness together until you both emerge into the light…”

I find romances predictable too, Jaye, so it’s great to hear that this one is a little outside the norm. And emotional. Thanks for sharing your review!
