Last Minute thoughts…

I now have a date to send off my manuscript to be edited, so all I can think about, is it ready?

Have I done the best I can, or should I look at it again?

I have three days to convince myself that Folly’s End is ready to be scrutinised.

I’m desperately trying to remember the final edit. Were there any sneaky after thoughts, things that could have been better?

In many ways, your final edit is the best edit you can do. But by the time you get that far, you are usually sick of the sight of it. I distinctly remember not feeling like that. I actually liked reading it, so could I have missed something?

Trouble is, I don’t really want to double check the manuscript. Supposing I find something so awful that would take more than three days to fix, or worse, make me want to bin it?

I’m pretty sure I did a good job, so maybe I should trust my instincts and put it in expert hands and await the verdict?

I should be working on the blurb, not worrying about something that is done and dusted. I am not very good at blurbs…

of mice and men…

That is fantastic and from your post here you have more than edited – send it off with joy and excitement. Grrr … blurbs are so tricky and I am great about procrastinating with these.

Trust your instincts and send it off. I don’t like writing blurbs either.
