It’s Monday… or is it?

It is Monday today, but here in the UK, it’s a Bank Holiday, so I might slope off after lunch and return to the editing. The last few days have been a little hectic and to be honest, I need some me time as I’m shattered!

I snuck out to the garden first thing to have a look around, and found my favourite rhodi just coming in to bloom…

I wanted to wander around some more but it was starting to rain, so I came back in.

That was when I remembered something I spotted the last time I went to town…

These daisies are taking over Petersfield, cropping up in the strangest places, Our front garden has its share too…

Further down the road, I found another unusual sight…

I’m not sure if they are a proper plant, or a posh weed, but they sure do cheer up our town!

I hope the weather improves, as my bonsai might just up and move out if I don’t get to them soon!

I am hoping for a good week for all of us, whatever we feel like doing with it…

I like the term “posh weed.” Gives the wild things an air of dignity. I hope y’all have a good week as well.

I see someone has mentioned the daisies are erigeron. Some would say a weed, but I think there is a place for them in a garden. They remind me of holidaying in Cornwall. I enjoyed your post. Elizabeth

It might be Erigeron karvinskianus (lots of common names, including “Fleabane”). It’s noted as growing well on walls.

It sure does grow well on walls, but is far too pretty to call fleabane, Audrey…

Agreed! It’s also called Mexican daisy, since it’s native to Mexico, apparently.
