What a Weekend!

I am still reeling from the weekend we have just had!

Not only was it a Bank Holiday Weekend, it was a family gathering weekend and that should have made it busy enough, but I ended up utilising all those gaps between visits and cooking to continue trying to sort out who, if anyone, would be taking care of my precious books. I didn’t know I could still multi task!

I have totally given up on Word. They may be fine for posts and other short pieces, and even those are debatable. But they have given me my last heart attack every time they play fast and loose with my babies! My precious books, for those of you who have just logged in.

I have been trying to explore the complicated system that calls itself Scrivener. Trying is definitely the wrong word for something I have been attempting for a very long time. Now that I don’t feel confident using word for my novels, it has become a tad more important that I find something I can use with confidence, and soon.

I have looked at Google Docs, as someone told me they have a system just like Scrivener, and , wait for it, they could easier to learn. Well, I was there in a flash, but I must admit that it seemed every bit as complicated. Seeing as I have a very small working knowledge of Scrivener, I decided to concentrate my efforts there.

I will be posting about this when the dust settles, but “By George, I might have gone and done it!”

Thrilled at my progress, I nearly finished my knitting project while watching TV last night.

See you all tomorrow!

I’m so sorry for all the hurdles, Jaye. I’ve never used Scrivener, and I’m not very tech-savvy, so I have no advice—just e-hugs. 🤗

The hugs are more than welcome, Gwen. It shouldn’t be so difficult to find somewhere safe to edit our books!

Good luck with Scrivener, Jaye! Let us know how that works out. If it helps, P.H. Solomon had an entire series on Story Empire a few years ago about how to work in Scrivener. If you go to Story Empire and do a search for Scrivener, I bet you can find them.

    I use Google docs.
BTW. I just finished reading Ghost of a Chance. Loved it. A definite page turner.
I went to look for book 1 in the series, but couldn’t find it on Amazon, nor Smash words. Probably because I don’t know it’s title. would you let me know what it’s called, please.

Out of Time is the proper beginning, Vivienne. I am so glad you enjoyed reading Ghost…
