I was hoping for a much better week, but one way or another what with life getting in the way, again, and poor Milo, it hasn’t been very good.
When we noticed that he was showing similar signs to the last time, we rushed him to the vet. He hasn’t been eating, his temperature was up, and he definitely wasn’t a happy bunny. Such a sweet boy these days and seeing him in distress was upsetting. You feel so helpless, don’t you? I know I do.
The vet started talking serious stuff, which turned my blood cold. Possible feline leukaemia and pancreatitis, both of which can be fatal. The results of the first blood test were inconclusive, so a second one was sent off for investigation. They decided to keep Milo overnight to get his fever down and give him fluids, and with heavy hearts, we came home without him.
As if this wasn’t enough for the poor love, once he was back home his face broke out in a rash with bald patches, so it was back to the vet again.
Thank heavens he is insured!
This time the verdict was an allergy, and a steroid jab would take care of that, we were told. I was beginning to feel as if I was at my doctors at that point, feeling as if we weren’t getting the whole picture.
Milo is looking a little better now, his face isn’t so red, and he is eating more, so hopefully the final results will be good.
Not sure if it’s all the worry, but I am so tired all the time. My family often say that I could sleep on a clothesline, but I nearly fell of my office chair yesterday, so maybe they’re wrong!
I have managed to finish the first edit of Folly’s End and have a pile of things to check when I start the next one. Word keeps interfering, throwing trouble at me all the time. The last glitch nearly gave me a heart attack when I thought half of the book had vanished, so I definitely won’t be writing my next book with them.
Can I ask for some input on everyone’s favourite method, please?
The week hasn’t been totally miserable however. In the evenings, I have started the latest craft project. Matching jackets for the great grand babies!

I have been promising myself to make time for crafts, as they allow me to get some serious thinking done while I work.

you should try it, it really works!
