Windy Weather…
Eventually, the temperature rose a little, and we all breathed a sigh of relief. This was short-lived, as worse was to follow.
The forecast was strong winds, but we weren’t overly worried, as this never amounted to much.
I had a very busy week despite still not feeling great. I managed to get a lot done, which probably raised my spirits just enough to get ahead.
The work in progress is creeping slowly towards the end of the story, and I am already planning the editing process.
It was a dramatic day outside, too. The promised storm arrived, bringing gale-force winds that tried hard to suck the double glazing out of the frames!

They said it would be bad enough to bring down trees and for some places to lose power. By now, I was beginning to worry and hoped the wind wouldn’t do too much damage.
Late last night, Mother Nature really lost her temper. It sounded for all the world as though there were wild beasts out there. The rain arrived and was thrown at the house violently whipping the windows. If I was worried before, I was now terrified. Would we be able to sleep, or should we stay up in case something did happen?

I think the storm must have blown itself out in the early hours, for when I woke up this morning, all was calm. There was hardly any wind, and the sun was shining.
I wonder what will be next…

I hope you are all safe and well!
