The Coldest Day of the Week…

This morning, the temperature was -5 degrees.

I can’t remember when it was ever this cold here, but at least they say it will be warmer tomorrow. The sun is shining its socks off and the sky is an amazing blue, making me want to go for a walk. Maybe just a little walk to get my joints moving?

I know some countries are having temperatures that could freeze your eyeballs, so we hope you are keeping warm and safe… 💖💖

Anita has been busy writing poetry, so I am delighted to post it here today…

Hollow Bubbles

I swallow my words, a slow-moving bitter taste

Full of broken glass that burns my veins

A storm raging inside, a fire that cannot be quenched.

Fuelled by anger, disappointment, loss,

a life lived too long

The past doing what it does best,

haunting, stirring the mind to self-destruct

Ghosts of those once loved smooth the sharp edges

of the hills and troughs dug by bitter memories

It is better to have loved

A life lived without love is a hollow bubble

The space inside too hard to handle

So my friend if love is offered,

Take it, keep it safe

Don’t live life in an empty space…

Yeah to have been loved is something everyone should experience. The romantic kind of love especially. But it can just be a taste, perhaps not a lifetime thing.

    Loved it.
The central theme, “It is better to have loved / A life lived without love is a hollow bubble,” encapsulates a universal truth eloquently.
The metaphor of an empty space within a hollow bubble speaks volumes about the emptiness of a loveless life. This was awesome.

Your plea to embrace and safeguard love when offered is a poignant reminder of its intrinsic value. Your words linger, leaving a profound impact on the reader.

    Keep writing, stay blessed.
