After that glorious sunrise yesterday, I felt the urge to go for a walk.
I needed to walk away from the office and breathe some fresh, although somewhat chilly air.
Number one son had some errands to run, so I tagged along, secretly hoping there would be a hot chocolate with my name on it.
The town was busy, the usual christmas lights were being strung along the high street, but the excitement hadn’t arrived yet. Nor had the Chritmas tree. I was beginning to wish I had stayed at home, for I hadn’t been out in ages and my legs were complaining. I soldiered on, certain that the exercise would be good for me, although I needed several sit downs.
On one of these rest periods, I looked around, hoping to find something interesting to photgraph.

I was sitting in a side street at the side of the church, facing one of the oldest walls.
That’s when I noticed the flowers peaking over the wall, flowers that didn’t seem to know that autumn had arrived. I looked around, hoping for more surprises, and one of the trees in the church yard seemed to wave at me. It seemed so tall, leafless and perfect, so I captured him too…

Slim pickings, but I was grateful for them. They more than made up for my aching legs!
Today is a family birthday, so this post will be scheduled. All the family are gathering for a wonderful day.
A great cake and good company, and precious time with the baby. What could be better?

See you all tomorrow…
