I couldn’t resist this image this morning… the powerful majesty of that incredible sky, and the brooding patience of the waiting boats…

In a way, this image reflects the state of my mind at the moment. Hopefully, I can sort it out to start the week with a clean and possibly happy slate…

    Terrifying image, yet so beautiful. I wouldn’t want to be on one of those boats but I can’t help loving the majesty of the moment. It’s strangely uplifting. I hope your week works out to be the same.

          I have only seen mountains from a distance, I might feel differently if I ever get near to one…

            Really?????? Wow…I’ve always lived near mountains. Australia’s mountains are not that high as time has eroded them a lot but, they’re still beautiful. Then again, they’re mostly on the east coast, which is probably why our major cities are on the coast, between the mountains and the sea. The interior is pretty flat and arid.

              The UK is pretty flat all over, at least down in the south. We have the Downs, but they’re just hills, nothing spectacular!

                I’ve only been to the UK once and the furthest I got was Stratford-on-Avon, but somehow I always picture the land as gently rolling hills and plains. Do you get mountains further north or is that Scotland I’m thinking of?

                    Aaah. That makes sense. So England is kind of the temperate bit in the middle. Makes sense as it mostly faces towards the channel.

                    To be honest, where we live it’s more like rolling hills than steep mountain peaks, but it is lovely.
