#Silent Sunday… A Time of Melting…

I am feeling much like this poor rose.
The relentless frost has wilted me too
I am having trouble keeping warm
I have watched the flowers and plants
in my garden end up like this
melting, like ice cream
on a summer's day

Sounds sad but I know you’ll take solace in the coming spring and new life. The plants accept it.

It always seems so far away at this time of year…

It’s mighty cold here as well, and it’s so hard for me to get warm once I’m chilled to the bone. Your poem captures the season beautifully, Jaye. ❤️

Unlike melted ice cream, most plants revive in spring!

This is something I am most grateful for, but I have some favourite annuals that won’t…

It’s not always possible to get seeds or to carry them over by taking cuttings.

I know, but leaving a favourite plant behind is so sad sometimes…

Stay warm. I’m not a fan of cold either. Hugs.
