Without Wings

This morning, I feel like flour,
falling through a sieve
Leaving soft white
layers of myself behind
I am as light as wings
Giddy with the power of flight
How soon will reality bring me down?

My pleasure. The image of a ballerina just came to mind as I read your poem; the lightness and the floating/flowing was captivating.
