#WRITEPHOTO – Lake

Lake – Image by Sadje

For visually challenged writers, the image shows a lake surrounded by trees and a mountain range in the distance. On the lake edge, you can see a lonesome log floating and a grassy flowered edge.

Gentle water spirits play beneath reflected sky.
While a fallen log floats free towards a flowered bank
Where humans walk hand in hand
Under moonlit skies, beyond the trees,
the mountains whisper of magic
Laid down by ancient hands
Buried deep in granite rock.
It can still be found by those of purest heart,
so, the legend goes.
While others tell of Merlin’s buried treasure
His book of spells, Arthur’s sword
Splinters of the round table beneath the ragged rock
They say Knights are sleeping,
Waiting for Merlin to ring the bell.
Over the years, many have reported
hearing a bell ringing.
Would you answer the call?
I would if it meant I could speak to Merlin…
