Cover your face

A bright rainbow bleeds into dark clouds
Above old Tower Hill
I remember the Bible promise made by God
He would never drown the world again
Red painted facades telling the coming of a plague
No Bible story this time
A pandemic from China touched
Too many lives lost
Too many more broken
Would that God had thought
to make his promise on a double rainbow
No floods, no disease
What a God He would have made…

A powerful poem, Anita. I’m not much of a believer for this reason and a host of others. It’s up to us.
