This sweet Persian blue

With borrowed wings of a butterfly

To help him journey through a mystical land

His task, to fond the glowing lotus jewel

Said to soothe the mind, heal the soul

much needed in his own world.

Staring into its centre

He could see, hear, almost taste

The ancient wisdom

Seeing the age to come held his attention

Soon realising there would be no need

To cut, destroy such a wonder

His mind at peace as he journeyed home

He had done the right thing

Leaving it for others to find

For there might come a time

When its magic truly is needed…
