The poem strikes me as fresh and quite insightful. Especially, the word “territorial”. That seems a very apt and accurate choice — and to me, a fresh way to describe the ego in a poem.
I think of the ego as a dangerous animal that it’s best to usefully domesticate. How about you? Do you see any positive side to it?
