Paulais the host of Thursday Inspiration.
Welcome to Thursday Inspiration!
This week’s theme is island and the picture is below. Here is the song snippet from “Thunder Island” written by Jay Ferguson in 1977.
Sha, la, la, la, la, la, my lady
In the sun with your hair undone
Can you hear me now
Callin’ your name from across the bay?
A summer’s day laughin’ and a-hidin’
Chasin’ love out on Thunder Island

Like an island
Lonely and forlorn
Separated from others
Surrounded by just emptiness
Craving company and friendship
The loneliness is crippling
The isolation maddening
But to be safe we need to
Put a distance between each other
Waiting for the time when it’s not needed anymore
How we used to take it for granted
The ease and privilege of companionship
And now we miss these small touches
