I should have done this earlier… I am blaming the technical problems caused by ‘there will be no interruption to your service‘ being wholly inaccurate. I would just like to thank everyone who sent good wishes for my sixtieth birthday last week!

There was a quiet meal the night before, and Stuart took this picture as I celebrated being alive on the shores of the North Sea in Bamburgh :)

That evening was spent with friends, including one I have known for years but never really had chance to settle down and talk with … and Gary Vasey, one of my oldest and closest friends, who flew all the way from the Czech Republic to share the weekend with us, which was wonderful.

And I even got a sunset :)
