A
s highlighted in my last post, gold is predominant in my garden this week, so my vase features sundrops (Oenothera fruiticosa) and vertical spikes of Carolina lupine (Thermopsis caroliniana), along with contrasting azure globes of Allium azureum.
There are also gold stars of yellow loosestrife (Lysimachia punctata) and mini-suns of Eastern daisy fleabane (Erigeron annuus).
A few sprigs of catmint (Nepeta mussinii) and stems of common yarrow (Achillea millefolium) complete the arrangement.
The vase, a Brita Holmquist design, was handmade and painted in Italy and the table linen is vintage Jean Vier.
Thanks to Cathy at Rambling In the Garden, who hosts a weekly meme to showcase what is blooming in our gardens. Wander over to see what gardeners all over the world are arranging this week.
