I really wanted to take part in another #Six on Saturday this week, but sadly, our little garden is waterlogged. Any flowers that were grimly hanging on, have been reduced to a soggy mess from all the rain.
This had me remembering all the lovely flowers that have made me smile this year.
I am not sure what happened to this African Violet. It was a beautiful gift and well worth remembering…
Another lovely memory. This Christmas cactus cheered me up during the long winter months…
This stunning plant is a Myrtle. It lives in our front garden, and passers-by stop to admire it when in bloom…
This laburnum bonsai is struggling now and may not make it. A victim of root rot, either from a parasite or too much rain, it is bravely hanging on there, in fresh soil.
My favourite rhododendron, bravely fighting the brambles at the bottom of the garden. I have tried to remove them, but their roots seem to be intertwined…
Last, but not least, my favourite memory of the summer… Honeysuckle in all its glory…
A wonderful year, by anyone’s standards. Hopefully I will see most of them again next year…
Terrific flower memories, Jaye. Thanks for sharing them.
Happy to, John. I needed a reminder… 🌺🌸🌼
😁
Thank you! I’ve fallen head over heals in love with the myrtle! It’s glorious. 😀
Lovely flowers you had last year, Jaye!
Yes, I really loved them all, too, Miriam. Makes all that effort worth while…
Growing and looking at the flowers are a treat for me. I love doing that, Jaye.
You had a wonderful year of flowers, Jaye!
Those are all beautiful flowers, my favourite are the African violet.
I can never choose between the violet and the cactus, Pooja… I live them both!
They’re both very beautiful!
Thank you for sharing these photos of true Beauty.
Nature’s cycles can be tough, but plants do seem to have their own resilience.
See you next year floral friends ❤️
Something to look forward to! 🌺🌼🌸
