We can be very individualistic the subjects about which we write, but ultimately the point of writing is to make your thoughts — whatever they are — coherent and understandable to the people who read you. Not every writer’s style will appeal to every reader, but a writer’s best style should at least be comprehensible to most readers.

I write about everything and anything. I don’t write poetry and rarely fiction, even the 100-word variety. Anything else might show up in my blog. I try to make it clear, grammatical, and if at all possible, elegant. If I do it well, I’m happy. And if it makes someone else happy, that’s even better.
