What do you see # 71 – March 1st, 2021

There are many myths and legends about the Taj Mahal.
I love the idea of a black Taj, a double tribute to love
Black marble carried across the river
To shine in the moonlight garden
While the white marble face shines in the sun
Each jewel has its own sparkle
It screams of love, it celebrates the joy
Of finding the one to stand beside you for life
I have never seen the Taj, nor am I likely to,
my age prohibits it, age cannot stop me from dreaming
I helped the ancient builders place each tiny precious jewel
Feeling other worldly, guarded by a sacred mist
Keeping all safe until its completion
Fanciful, I know, but what if…
