COLLEEN’S 2020 WEEKLY #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 197, #SPECIFICFORM: Tanka

It’s the fifth Tuesday of the month! This is our chance to work with a specific syllabic poetry form. So, take this opportunity to learn more about the particular form. You can use any subject, theme, or words to convey your message.
This week’s form is:
TANKA
My five-year-old asked
Do flowers grow in heaven?
How do I answer
When I haven’t been there yet
Her unanswered question lingered…

Wow, Anita, this is a spectacular poem. With the spread of COVID and everything else going on in the world, children pick up so many things. Well done, my friend. I hope you are fully recovered and back into the swing of things. ❤

Anita sends her thanks, Colleen. She is doing well, just waiting for the date for the pacemaker to be fitted, then they say she will be fighting fit!

Yes, they do. A they very seriously wait for an answer. This cracks me up as you can sometimes see the mental scrambling to come up with an answer in the adults.😃
