COUGH

We ventured out yesterday. Back to our usual haunt. We felt quite safe. Until…………….a man rolled up on a bike, with his young daughter. They got off their bikes and the man disappeared for a few minutes, leaving his daughter (well I assumed it was his daughter anyway – a lovely little girl dressed in pink with a pink cycle helmet to match her bike). He returned, and was coughing very deeply. No ordinary cough. We were sat in our car with the windows down, but I hastily put mine up as he passed close to our car.

Shows how suspicious we have become of each other. There was probably nothing sinister in this man’s cough, but nowadays you can’t take chances. He came very close to me as he passed our car. Left me rather anxious. But whata world to live in now. When every cough causes a reaction…
