Dark Sparkles

Peacock Poetry

One afternoon I decided to take the long way home and ended up walking along the good old Birs river (my second home!) at dusk. The glimmer on the water’s surface was so mesmerising that I felt like a magical spell had been cast and I didn’t want the walk to end!

Twinkle Toes

Dusk glimmers on the surface

A shimmer that excites

The hamster wheel is worthless

I flow with what feels right

Though dimmer are the evenings

A lantern glows inside

My heart and soul now breathing

My instinct is my guide

We do not have the answers

We do not need to know

Just have to take our chances

Allow our trust to grow

For whims and dreams have purpose

They skim the sky tonight

Dusk glimmers on the surface

A shimmer that excites
