Being the first challenge of the month, Colleen’s Tuesday Poetry Challenge 156 is left to our discretion as ‘Poet’s Choice’.
Having lived in several countries during the last six decades, it has meant that we have celebrated Christmas in a number of languages, with people of other faiths. There have been some amazing celebrations and parties, and without exception we have all come together in love and friendship irrespective of our individual beliefs. And the wonderful outcome is their reciprocation in including us in their own traditional celebrations.

at my age,
I would have lost
this childish delight
of the weeks of fun ahead.
Christmas represents many things,
depending on our faith or culture,
but at its heart is peace and love to all.
We are encouraged to be inclusive,
