Being a writer is tough, no I mean, really tough!  I’ve written before about fitting it into a busy life.  I wrote a guest blog for Dan Alatorre about my experience of actually (self) publishing, and I’ve been banging on about the struggles of advertising for longer than I can remember.  I’m not sure it’s that long, but I’ve got a poor memory!

Language, that’s a new level of tough that I haven’t yet harped on about.

I enjoy the ongoing banter with my American and Canadian friends about language, more specifically their (or is it my) incorrect spelling.  Seriously, it’s so hard.  English has so many variants.  It’s not just the nightmare of where, were, we’re, wear and ware, or too, to and two.  It’s all these crazy z’s and s’s, and my author friends who have some grudge against the letter u.
