….staring at a computer screen for ten hours a day will do that to a person. I always get a little discouraged when I’m in the final editing process of a new book. When I’m writing, I’m excited. When I’m publishing and promoting, I’m through the roof. When I’m editing…I just want to curl up into a little ball and never look at words again.

My overworked brain also gets increasingly paranoid. What if some other author out there had the same book idea as me, and they publish theirs first? What if someone steals my actual manuscript and publishes it first?! What if the whole indie publishing world comes crashing down before I get my book out there?! I should just publish my book RIGHT NOW. What are a few typos, when all of my work could go to waste?!…..My family usually has to talk me down. Publishing unedited…
