So… she went to play in the snowwithout me. How mean is that? And all I got was excuses…

“Didn’t know we were going,” she says. “We would have taken you if we’d known,” she says. “I promise I’ll take you for a really long walk next time it snows,” she says.

Oh yeah?

“Karma,” says I, the very next morning, as she is standing there shivering and holding the door open for me at half past five. “Better get your snow shoes on…”

Serves her right. I love it when it works like that :)

Yes, I know it doesn’t work like that… It doesn’t come on demand, and it isn’t a tit-for-tat thing either.  It is all about the Balance thingy that the Black One holds, with the heart and the feather, not about revenge being sweet and, in this case, definitely served cold. But…
